A: Hey there! Have you heard about the weather today?
   B: Nope, what's up?

A: Well, it's going to be another hot one! The heatwave continues across Japan, and they say Monday will be even hotter!

B: Whoa, really? Where's it worst this time?

A: Kuwana City reached a scorching 38.3 degrees yesterday. Tokyo wasn't far behind at 36.5. Even Hokkaido saw temperatures over 35 for the first time this season!

B: That's crazy! So, how hot will it be on Monday?

A: They say Kyoto will hit 38 degrees, Osaka and Nagoya will see 37, Hokkaido's Obihiro City will reach 36, and central Tokyo will hit 34.

B: Sounds like a heatstroke alert to me! Is that correct?

A: Yep, alerts are in effect for parts of eastern Hokkaido and many prefectures from east to southwest Japan. It looks like northern Japan will have more of the same on Tuesday and Wednesday, while western Japan will stay hot until around Saturday.

Kuwana City in Mie Prefecture recorded a high of 38.3 degrees Celsius. Tokyo&#039;s Fuchu City hit 36.5 degrees, while Shari Town in Hokkaido reached 35.4 -- the first time this season that temperatures in Japan&#039;s northernmost prefecture have topped 35 degrees.
