B: Not much, just keeping up with my hobbies. Why, what's new?

A: Well, I just found out something about the airlines! Did you know that Chinese government asked their citizens to avoid traveling to Japan?
B: No way! Why would they do that?

A: It seems like it was because of some comments made by our Prime Minister about Taiwan. But don't worry, Japanese airlines say it hasn't affected them yet. They mentioned no flights have been canceled.
B: Wow, that's pretty serious though. So many Chinese tourists visit Japan every year... right?

A: Yep! In fact, between January and September this year, there were 7.48 million travelers from China here in Japan. It's the highest number of visitors from any country or region!
B: That's a lot! But what about the Chinese airlines? Have they been affected by this?

A: Apparently, some major Chinese airlines have announced free cancellations for flights to and from Japan. Air China posted a notice on their website saying they will take special measures against flights, specifically in Tokyo, Osaka and other Japanese cities. The offer is valid until the end of the year.
B: Wow, that's quite a big step! Let's hope things get better soon for everyone involved.
