An earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 6.5 has left at least 11 people dead in Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan.
The US Geological Survey says the quake struck the northern region of Afghanistan at a depth of 187 kilometers around 16:50 UTC on Tuesday.
Local authorities have reported building collapses in the northeastern Afghan province of Laghman and northwestern Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
At least 11 deaths have been confirmed and 54 others have been injured.
Video footage taken in the Pakistani city of Lahore, about 600 kilometers from the epicenter, shows buildings shaking loudly and panicked people fleeing.
