Apple introduced their latest AirPods model, AirPods Pro 3, and one feature promises to make them a must-have travel essential.

"With AirPods Pro 3, the most popular headphones take a massive leap forward, providing fantastic sound quality and the world’s best ANC of any in-ear wireless headphones," Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, John Ternus, said during the big announcement. “Combined with an improved fit that provides greater stability for even more people, heart rate sensing [and] extended battery life."

International travelers will love the new Live Translation feature.

"Enabled by Apple Intelligence, AirPods Pro 3 take personal audio to the next level," Ternus added.

According to the tech company, Live Translation enables in-person communication across select languages.

"When enabled, Live Translation helps users understand another language and communicate with others by speaking naturally with AirPods," Apple continued. "To interact with someone who doesn’t have this hands-free capability, there’s an option to use iPhone as a horizontal display, showing the live transcription of what the user is saying in the other person’s preferred language. When the other person responds, their speech is translated into the user’s preferred language with AirPods."


The company did note that for optimal use, both users should be wearing their own AirPods with Live Translation enabled.

The newest model of AirPods will come equipped with English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish upon release. Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese (simplified) will be added by the end of the year.

AirPods Pro 3 Available for Pre-Order
Apple's AirPods Pro 3 will start at $249 and are available for pre-order now. The latest model will be in stores beginning Friday, September 19.
