Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev has said he met Chinese President Xi Jinping while visiting Beijing on Wednesday.
Medvedev, who now serves as deputy chairperson of Russia's security council, posted a video of the meeting.
He said the two discussed cooperation in various areas and the conflict in Ukraine. He described the talks as useful.
China's state-run Xinhua news agency reported that Xi expressed hope during the meeting that all parties will stay rational, maintain restraint and resolve common security concerns by political means.
