A: Well, check this out. Seems like folks in the Gaza Strip are hoping to go back home soon.
B: Oh really? What happened now?

A: Hamas said they agreed to some parts of Trump's peace plan for ending the conflict there.
B: That sounds good, right? Maybe they can finally end the bombings and killings over there.

A: Exactly! A woman from the north of Gaza told reporters she hopes to feel safe again and return home, even though her house got destroyed.
B: Wow, that's tough. She also wants the crossings open so she can get gas for cooking.

A: Another guy in Al-Zawaida said things got worse after Hamas took control. He wants them out of there.
B: That makes sense. It's sad to see innocent people suffering like this.

A: The number of deaths keeps increasing, despite Israeli forces supposedly stopping their offensive in Gaza City and focusing on defensive operations only.
B: I read somewhere that 15 people died in Gaza City from Israeli airstrikes on houses yesterday.

A: Yes, and the Palestinian health authorities said more than 67,000 have died since October 2023 because of Israeli aggression in Gaza.
B: That's just terrible... I hope things get better for them soon.
