Japanese man found at Myanmar scam hub to be extradited in April NHK

Investigative sources have told NHK that a Japanese man found at a scam center in Myanmar will be extradited in early April. They suspect the 36-year-old of stealing money from a ramen shop in Sapporo, Hokkaido.



Police say they have an arrest warrant for the man, adding that they also plan to ask him about his time at the scam center.



Multiple sources say he was engaged in a Chinese fraud operation in Myanmar. Authorities found him in late February, and he has since been transferred to Thailand.
