Russia's defense minister Andrei Belousov has arrived in North Korea, where he is expected to hold talks with military and political leaders. The Russian defense ministry said on Friday that an official welcoming ceremony was held at the international airport in the North Korean capital, Pyongyang. The move comes after North Korea sent troops to Russia to fight against Ukraine. Moscow and Pyongyang have completed procedures to ratify a comprehensive strategic partnership treaty which calls for mutual military assistance if either country is attacked.
