Malaysia has agreed in principle to resume the search for a passenger jet that went missing 10 years ago with 239 people on board. The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 over the South China Sea in 2014 is one of the biggest mysteries in aviation history. The search was halted in 2017. A US marine exploration firm later tried to find the aircraft, but made little progress. Malaysia's transport minister said on Friday that the government has accepted a new offer from the company to reopen the search. He says it will take place in a southern area of the Indian Ocean measuring 15,000 square kilometers based on new data. They also say the firm will only be paid if the wreckage is found.
