1. Nineteen people died in torrential downpours that hit the Noto region in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, on September 21, 2024. Three more deaths were linked to the disaster later. 2. On the one-year anniversary of the event, mourners gathered at six locations in Wajima and Suzu cities, as well as other parts of the prefecture, to offer flowers and remember the victims. 3.
