A Japanese startup attempting to put a satellite into orbit has postponed its rocket launch. The firm has given no reason for the delay. Tokyo-based Space One was aiming to launch the Kairos, a small solid-fuel propelled rocket, shortly after 11:00 a.m. Saturday from a site in Kushimoto Town, Wakayama Prefecture. The firm says it will announce a new date as soon as a decision is made. The rocket is carrying a small government satellite that it aims to put into orbit. If successful, Space One would become the first Japanese private sector firm to accomplish the task on its own.
