Monday&#039;s strong earthquakes have led to the suspension of various transportation systems linking to affected areas along the Sea of Japan.
                
East Japan Railway Company says it will suspend the operation of the Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train between Nagano and Kanazawa stations on Tuesday morning to check the safety of railway facilities.
                
The service of Joetsu Shinkansen line will also be stopped between Echigo-Yuzawa and Niigata stations on Tuesday morning.
                
The company says it may continue the suspension of services in the afternoon, depending on the results of the inspections.
                
A total of nine flights connecting cities including Tokyo and Osaka, and the prefectures of Ishikawa, Niigata and Yamagata have been canceled for Tuesday.
