   B: Whoa, really? That's big news! What's the worry though?

A: Well, folks are concerned he might give Microsoft an edge because of his insider info. Also, since he used to work with them, there's a debate about AI regulation that he could influence.
   B: Oh, that sounds tricky... But he says he won't advise on UK policy matters and will steer clear of lobbying.

A: Yep! He'll focus on high-level perspectives instead and donate his salary to charity. Funny thing is, his senior advisor is also working for Anthropic!
   B: Wow, that's quite a connection! Sounds like this is common in the US too?

A: Totally! For example, Clegg from Meta was replaced by Bush's former deputy chief of staff. And DeSantis' adviser joined their policy team last year. Microsoft's current global affairs president used to work for Biden!
   B: Man, the revolving door between tech giants and governments is always spinning! Crazy stuff!
