Pakistan announces retaliatory measures against India NHK

Pakistan has outlined its own measures against India on Thursday in a tit for tat after India's strong response to the killing of 26 people in an Indian-controlled area of Kashmir.



Gunmen opened fire on a group of tourists on Tuesday in Jammu-Kashmir. A group said to be linked to Pakistani Islamic extremists claimed responsibility.
Police have identified two of the gunmen as Pakistani.
The Kashmir region is claimed by both India and Pakistan.



Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting of the National Security Committee on Thursday to determine actions against India.
In addition to expelling Indian military advisers, Pakistan's airspace will be closed with immediate effect for all Indian owned or operated airlines. It's also suspending all trade with India.



The government condemned India's move in a statement, calling it politically motivated, extremely irresponsible and devoid of legal merit.
