Ukrainians have seen Russian forces destroy their homes, their hospitals and increasingly, their infrastructure. Strikes on Tuesday left many of them in the dark. And some fear, without heat, their struggles could become a matter of life or death.
                
As Russians deploy more drones to target electricity and heating facilities, the strikes have caused blackouts across the country. Ukrainian officials say the attacks have destroyed almost one-third of their power stations.
                
Families are having to make do without basic services. They cannot even turn on the television to find out what is happening. And many are saving water in the event that gets shut off as well.
                
One father said, &quot;When civilians suffer from missile or drone strikes, it is called terrorism.&quot;
                
Ukrainian leaders say Russian forces are using weapons from Iran. They are considering cutting diplomatic ties.
                
Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said, &quot;We have never taken a stance against Iran. But after Iran became part of aggressive crimes, Russian crimes, on our territory, we are taking a definite and honest position.&quot;
                
Analysts at the Washington-based Institute for the Study of War say the Russians have &quot;nearly exhausted&quot; most of their stock of tactical weapons. They expect leaders in Moscow will continue to leverage their relationship with the Iranians to obtain drones and missiles.
                
However, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani said on Tuesday that those claims are &quot;based on false information.&quot; He added that leaders are ready for talks with the Ukrainians to clarify their position.
