Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denied that his country and Islamic group Hamas agreed on a tentative deal to free some hostages held by the group in exchange for a pause in the fighting in the Gaza Strip. He said on Saturday, "There are many unsubstantiated rumors, many incorrect reports. I would like to make it clear: As for now, there has been no deal. But I want to promise: When there is something to say -- we will report to you about it." Netanyahu also said many people around the world have pressured Israel to agree to a full ceasefire. He said, "We refused and I have made it clear: We will only agree to a temporary ceasefire and only in exchange for the return of our hostages."
