Dozens still trapped in collapsed Indonesian school NHK

Indonesian authorities say 59 people may still be trapped in a collapsed Islamic boarding school that came down on Monday. The estimate is based on school attendance records and reports from families.
The grandmother of one of the missing students said: "I'm still waiting for the news. I want my grandson to be alive."
On Thursday, rescue crews in East Java province began using heavy machinery at the site of the collapse.
They had held off earlier, fearing that even small vibrations could cause further cave-ins.
Authorities said they obtained the families' approval to bring in the equipment after no signs of life were detected under the rubble. The critical 72-hour window had already closed. Beyond that point, survival chances fall sharply.
The national disaster agency says five people have died since Monday's collapse, and dozens of others were injured.
