Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has provided an update after a massive power outage hit the Iberian Peninsula, saying almost 50 percent of the national electricity supply has been restored. Speaking to the public on Monday night, Sanchez said the situation is improving across the different communities in Spain. He noted that efforts are being made toward a clear objective of fully restoring power to the entire country by the end of Tuesday. A local media report quoted an official of the country's power grid operator as saying that the cause of the power outage may be due to a disconnection between Spanish and French grids.
