The sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un says her country's air force repelled a US military reconnaissance plane which she said flew over North Korea's economic water zone. Kim Yo Jong said in a statement carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency that the US plane entered the sky above the zone beyond the military demarcation line at around 5 a.m. on Monday. She claimed that the surveillance plane intruded again just before 9 a.m. She warned that Pyongyang will respond resolutely if such an intrusion takes place again. North Korea's defense ministry said in a statement released Monday morning that US reconnaissance flights violated North Korea's airspace earlier this month. It said there was no guarantee that the downing of the US reconnaissance plane would not happen.
