Indonesia's volcano monitoring agency says a mountain in an eastern part of the country has erupted again, ejecting a column of ash more than 8,000 meters into the air. Local officials say no casualties have been reported so far, and no risk of tsunami. The Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation says the eruption occurred on Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki on the island of Flores on Thursday. This eruption is the latest in a series on the volcano since Sunday. More than 10,000 people live in areas near the mountain. Nine people have died in the string of eruptions, with more than 60 others injured and over 4,000 forced to evacuate. Local authorities had increased the alert status to the highest level before Thursday's eruption. They had also set up an exclusion zone extending 7 kilometers from the crater. The volcano also erupted in January, displacing about 6,500 residents.
