Footage taken by NHK's Gaza office in the southern city of Khan Younis shows that many tents housing evacuees had been burned. The residents were seen trying to retrieve household items that could still be used.
A man who was near the bombed tents said his son had been injured by shrapnel. He added that his nephew was in the intensive care unit and some of his neighbors had died in the attack.
Another man said he was surprised that Israel had violated the ceasefire agreement. He said the airstrikes were very intense, and "the area felt like hell."
