A: Hey buddy, did something interesting happen recently? B: Not really, just been catching up on some news. Why? What's up? A: Well, there was this funny incident at the World Expo in Osaka. You know that police officer who was securing the place? B: Uh-huh... A: So, he accidentally fired his gun while placing it inside a case! Can you imagine that? B: Whoa, was anyone hurt? A: Nope! Thankfully, everyone's okay. But they are investigating the incident to see if he mishandled the firearm. B: That sounds serious... When did it happen? A: It took place before 7 p.m. on Sunday, and get this – it happened inside a police vehicle parked off-limits for visitors! B: Wow, that's quite an accident! Who was with him in the car? A: Apparently, there were four other officers in the vehicle, and he was just taking a break. B: I hope they give him some extra training or something to prevent such accidents in the future. A: Exactly! The Osaka police headquarters has promised to provide basic guidance to avoid similar incidents. Let's hope it works out! ---------------- A police officer providing security at the World Expo in Osaka has mistakenly fired his handgun inside a police vehicle while he was placing it inside a gun case. No one was injured. But police have launched an investigation to look into whether the officer mishandled a firearm. Osaka Prefectural Police Headquarters said the incident took place before 7 p.m. on Sunday. The 28-year-old senior police officer accidentally fired his handgun once inside the police vehicle that was parked outside the Expo site in an area off-limits to visitors. Four other police officers were inside the vehicle. The officer was reportedly on a break. A senior official at the Osaka police headquarters issued a statement pledging that basic guidance will be provided to prevent similar recurrences.
