Heathrow to restart some flights after power outage NHK

London's Heathrow Airport says some flights would resume on Friday following a power outage that shut down the major global travel hub. Earlier, the airport said it would remain closed all day Friday.



The UK's largest airport made the announcement on social media on Friday afternoon local time.



Only some flights will resume for now. The airport says it will prioritize recovering aircraft and repatriating passengers. It is calling on travelers to stay away from the airport unless advised otherwise by their airline.



The airport says it hopes to run a full operation on Saturday and will provide further information shortly.
