Ford raises US price of Mexico-made models, blames tariffs NHK

The Trump administration's 25-percent additional tariff on imported automobiles is a headache for foreign carmakers, but is also starting to hit US manufacturers.

Ford Motor says the tariffs will force it to raise the price of some of its models made in Mexico and sold in the US.

Ford on Wednesday announced the price hikes will be applied to an electric vehicle, a pickup truck, and an SUV built after May 2.

The move by Ford is raising speculation other major automakers will follow suit.
