Muslims in Japan are raising money to help Palestinians injured in the conflict between Hamas and Israel, as well as those who have escaped the conflict. About 1,500 Muslims gathered at a mosque in Tokyo's Shibuya district for Friday prayers and heard the Imam, Muhammet Rifat Cinar, urging then to donate as much as they can. The Imam also said that children who are the most vulnerable are paying the highest price. The donations will be disbursed by the religious foundation, established by Turkish authorities, which oversees the mosque. One of the donors, an 18-year-old man from Britain, said he sees it as his duty to give money as the situation is so dire and so many people, including children, were killed in the explosion at a hospital in Gaza.
