A new animated movie by renowned Japanese director Miyazaki Hayao of Studio Ghibli has been released at theaters in Japan. Many movie fans lined up for the first showing of the feature film "Kimitachi wa Do Ikiru ka" or "How Do You Live?" at a theater in Tokyo on Friday morning. Miyazaki came out of retirement to direct the film, his first in 10 years. He spent about 7 years on production, including writing the movie's original screenplay. Prior to the release, Studio Ghibli did not provide information except the title, and released a poster with an image of a bird. Booklets about the film are not being sold on opening day. The studio said it wants audiences to watch without surplus information. After watching the around-2-hour feature, a man in his 20s said he felt Miyazaki's passion to create more films. Another man in his 20s said the storyline was unpredictable until the end, and that his interpretation of the bird on the poster has now changed. A woman in her 20s said that at first she thought the story might be gloomy, but as it unfolded, there were some happy moments. Miyazaki has produced many animation films, including "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Princess Mononoke." "Spirited Away" won the Golden Bear award at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2002.
