Japan's health ministry says it confirmed 81,535 new cases of the coronavirus and 307 deaths nationwide on Tuesday. In Tokyo, the number of new infections was 7,306, down 3,814 from a week ago. This is the seventh straight day that the figure has fallen compared with the same day a week earlier. The ministry confirmed 30 deaths in the capital, down one from Monday.
