A: Hey there! Anything interesting happening?
   B: Not much, just the usual stuff. Why do you ask?

A: I heard about this cyberattack on Asahi Group Holdings. They've been having trouble for 10 days now!
   B: Oh really? That's a big deal! What happened exactly?

A: They got hit by ransomware, which caused a major system outage across their companies. This group called Qilin took responsibility and even said they stole data from Asahi.
   B: Wow, that sounds serious. Have they found any leaked info online?

A: Yes, they have. Because of the system failure, they couldn't process orders, ship products, or handle customer inquiries. Production at many of their plants across Japan was temporarily halted.
   B: That must be quite a mess for them. What do we know about this Qilin group?

A: They started hacking activities in 2022 and have been particularly active this year, mainly encrypting data illegally and launching ransomware attacks on entities worldwide. Around 800 cases of damage are said to have been reported.
   B: This Qilin sounds dangerous! How long does it usually take for companies to recover from such an attack?

A: Well, according to a survey by ITR, it takes most affected companies one week or longer to restore their systems. Some even take a month or more.
   B: That's quite a while. Let's hope they get everything back up and running soon!
