Japanese police have found part of an explosive stuck in a container wall about 60 meters from the site where Prime Minister Kishida Fumio was attacked last weekend.
                
Kishida was campaigning at a fishing port in Wakayama City, western Japan, when the blast occurred on Saturday. He suffered no injuries, but two people were hurt in the explosion.
                
Police arrested 24-year-old Kimura Ryuji at the site.
                
They confiscated one of two cylindrical explosives the suspect reportedly possessed. The other had been hurled toward Kishida. It exploded, but its parts were not found immediately.
                
Investigative sources say the pipe-like explosive was likely made of metal. It apparently had caps on both sides and contained gunpowder.
                
The sources say an apparent cap was found in the container wall at a height of about two meters around 60 meters southeast of the blast site. The piece appears to have flown off and hit the container directly.
                
Police earlier found what appears to be the cylindrical explosive near a warehouse about 40 meters southeast of the blast site.
                
The sources say both parts likely flew past people who had gathered to hear Kishida&#039;s speech.
                
Police are working to determine the power of the explosive.
