South Korean President Lee Jae-myung is in Tokyo to meet with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru. The two countries are hoping to announce a statement in which the two leaders agree to develop more stable and future-oriented relations. This is Lee's first visit to Japan since taking office in June. They are expected to discuss boosting economic ties and people-to-people exchanges. The two countries are working on an agreement that would allow their respective citizens to obtain working holiday visas more than once. The agenda of their talks will likely include challenges shared by Japan and South Korea, such as a rapid population decline and a low birthrate. On security issues, the two leaders are likely to discuss closer bilateral and trilateral cooperation with the US. And they are also expected to exchange views on North Korea, which is deepening military ties with Russia. ---------------- Quiz 1: Who is currently visiting Japan as of August 23, 2025? A.
