British broadcaster Sky News reported on Monday that Iran may have provided not only attack drones, but also ammunition, to Russia.
                
The broadcaster quoted an informed security source as claiming that, &quot;A purported arms contract seen by Sky News offers the first hard evidence that Iran has sold ammunition to Russia for its war in Ukraine.&quot;
                
It added that, &quot;If authentic, the 16-page document, dated 14 September 2022, appears to be for samples of varying sizes of artillery and tank shells and rockets.&quot;
                
The deals are believed to be worth 1.75 million dollars in total.
                
It was alleged that the agreement was struck between the &quot;Ministry of Defence and Logistics of the Armed Forces of Iran and Russia&#039;s state military exporting and importing company, JSC Rosoboronexport.&quot;
                
The document assumes the use of two Iranian ports -- Anzali and Amirabad -- along the Caspian Sea and a Tehran airport for shipping items.
                
The source claimed that the document is 100 percent authentic and it is for sales of weapons samples &quot;before further shipments.&quot;
                
Ukraine has accused Iran of supplying Russia with drones. Western media outlets earlier this year reported that Iran was also providing ammunition to Russia.
                
The Iranian government has consistently denied providing any weapons, including ammunition, for use in Ukraine.
