Japan's Foreign Minister Hayashi Yoshimasa is hoping to reconfirm cooperation with the Group of Seven countries when he takes part in the meeting of the foreign ministers on November 3 and 4 in Munster, Germany. Hayashi will be meeting with his counterparts separately on the sidelines of the conference. Continued support for Ukraine and sanctions on Russia will be discussed. Eight months have passed since Russia invaded Ukraine. Hayashi plans to hold talks with German foreign and defense ministers there and Japan's Defense Minister Hamada Yasukazu is expected to join them online. The "two-plus-two" talks were first held online last year. The ministers are expected to discuss and confirm the importance of the rule of law and strengthening security ties keeping Russia and China in mind.
