Iranian missiles launched toward Golan Heights NHK

Iran's state-run television has reported that missiles were fired toward the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.

It is believed to have been in retaliation for a bomb attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria, which is believed to have been carried out by Israel. The bombing resulted in the killing of a commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Israel seized most of the Golan Heights from Syria in the 1967 Six-Day War, annexing it in 1981. The move has not been recognized by much of the international community.
