Seven people have been injured after a sightseeing bus collided with a large truck on an expressway in western Japan. The accident occurred on the Meishin Expressway in Shiga Prefecture at around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Police received a call from the bus driver. Police say six people in their 20s to 60s sustained injuries to the neck and other parts of the body, and the truck driver in his 40s was also injured. They were all taken to hospital, but their injuries are reportedly minor. The sightseeing bus had onboard 32 passengers and two guides who are all believed to be Thai nationals, as well as the driver. The bus reportedly left Kansai Airport and was on its way to Shirakawa-go village, a World Heritage site in Gifu Prefecture. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
