US presidential rivals Kamala Harris and Donald Trump have both visited key Midwestern swing states in a final push for votes ahead of election day on Tuesday, November 5. Vice President Harris gave a speech at a labor union hall in Janesville, Wisconsin on Friday. She said Trump "is no friend to labor," and that he has been "a union buster his entire career." Harris emphasized her support for labor unions and workers. She pledged to invest in domestic industries to "make sure that America, not China, wins the competition for the 21st century." Former President Trump visited Michigan on Friday, and stopped by a cafe in the city of Dearborn. He spoke with Arab Americans who account for a majority of the city's population. Trump sought their support, stressing that he is the one who can bring peace in the Middle East, and "not with the clowns that you have running the US right now." Harris, a Democrat, and Republican Trump are in a dead heat in Wisconsin and Michigan. Trump won the two states in the 2016 presidential election, but Joe Biden retook both by small margins when he won the presidency in 2020. Harris and Trump urged their supporters who haven't voted early to make sure they cast their ballots. Both candidates are eager to gain more votes in an extremely tight race, with just days before campaigning ends.
