In the 24 hours through Sunday evening, as much as 10 centimeters could fall in the Koshin region to the west of the capital.
In the Kanto region, 10 centimeters of snow are also expected from Hakone to the Tama and Chichibu areas.
People in Tokyo's 23 wards can expect up to 3 centimeters.
But weather officials say the course of a low-pressure system, temperature and other conditions could cause the snowfall pattern to differ from the forecast.
