Support has been provided to people affected by a powerful earthquake in Ishikawa Prefecture, central Japan, one week ago.
                
A bathing facility in Shika Town opened on Friday to local residents who have been unable to take a bath at home due to damage from the quake.
                
On Monday, staff finished distributing all 660 tickets to enter the facility in less than 2 hours.
                
Visitors soaked in warm water and relaxed.
                
A man in his 60s said he took a bath for the first time in a week and feels grateful.
                
An official at the facility said some employees have been working since New Year&#039;s Day and he feels glad he opened the facility when visitors express their thankfulness. He said he hopes everyone will be able to start using their baths at home as soon as possible.
                
In Nanao City, a non-profit organization has set up a play space at an emergency shelter to provide mental care for children.
                
On Sunday, staff members looked after 10 children, as they played cards and jumped rope.
                
A fourth-year elementary school student said it is fun to play with many people.
                
An official of the organization said parents told him that they feel grateful to have a place where their children can safely spend time and enjoy physical activities to release stress.
