A: So, a Japanese high court just ordered our local government to pay around 250 grand to the family of a Nepalese guy who died in police custody back in '17!

A: Last year, the lower court didn't find the restraint illegal but ordered the government to pay around 6 grand for poor medical treatment. Both sides appealed, and this week, the high court agreed that they used too much force and hindered his blood circulation!
   B: Wow, so the family is getting a lot more money now?

A: Absolutely! The high court increased the compensation to around 39 million yen, which equals about 250 grand. That's a significant increase from the lower court's ruling!
