The Ukrainian government says it is working to restore the country&#039;s energy infrastructure that has suffered extensive damage in recent Russian attacks.
                
Russia&#039;s defense ministry said that its forces carried out large-scale missile attacks on Thursday on Ukraine&#039;s energy-related facilities and other targets.
                
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that Moscow&#039;s continuous assaults on Ukraine&#039;s critical infrastructure have damaged almost half of the country&#039;s energy system.
                
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a video message on Friday, &quot;The difficult situation with energy supply persists in a total of 17 regions and in the capital.&quot;
                
Meanwhile, Moscow and Kyiv have agreed to extend a deal that allows grain exports from Ukraine&#039;s Black Sea ports.
                
But grain shipments have been stalled due to a shortage of vessels and equipment as well as missile strikes by Russian forces.
                
In the southern port city of Odesa, trucks waiting to unload wheat are forming a long line that extends several kilometers.
