Authorities in Pakistan say torrential rains have killed at least nine people in the country's east. And they're warning of more pain to come. Monsoon season officially started this month. Local media say downpours and strong winds battered Lahore and surrounding areas, destroying houses and leaving electrical infrastructure underwater. One resident said, "We are worried. Especially about prayer. The mosque is nearby, but there's too much water." Authorities say more rains are expected nationwide through Saturday. Pakistan is still reeling from catastrophic flooding last summer. The disaster reportedly left one-third of the country submerged and affected 33 million people. The death toll exceeded 1,700.
