Police have asked a man returning to Japan from abroad to voluntarily submit for questioning in relation to a case of corpse abandonment.



The request comes after police on Wednesday found a partially skeletonized body in a bag at a home in Kawasaki City, near Tokyo.



The body was later learned to be that of 20-year-old Okazaki Asahi from the city. She had been missing since December.



Okazaki's former boyfriend lived at the home. Her family say she was being stalked by the man.



Investigative sources say the man left Japan last month and arrived at Tokyo's Haneda airport on Saturday afternoon on a flight from the United States.



Police plan to question him about his possible involvement in the case.
