Struggling LCD maker Japan Display is teaming up with China's HKC on next-generation technology for displays.
The firms signed a memorandum of understanding to enter into what they're calling a strategic alliance.
Japan Display will contribute its OLED technology, and together the companies will build plants in China. They want to start mass production in 2025.
