N.Korea launches apparent ballistic missiles, Japan's Defense Ministry says NHK

Japan's Defense Ministry says North Korea launched what appear to be ballistic missiles on Wednesday.

Ministry sources say the two projectiles likely fell outside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone.

The Japan Coast Guard later said the likely ballistic missiles were apparently launched from North Korea and fell into the ocean.

The coast guard added that it has received no reports of damage to Japan-related vessels at sea.

The launch of apparent ballistic missiles or projectiles using ballistic missile technology by Pyongyang is the North's first since August 30, and 17th this year.
