The Japanese government has decided to offer a fresh aid package to Ukraine's neighbor Moldova worth about 2.9 billion yen or 22 million dollars. Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu in Tokyo on Saturday. Kishida saluted Moldova for accepting many evacuees from Ukraine amid Russia's invasion. The aid will be used for assistance in the fields of healthcare, food and energy. Kishida said Japan will also consider offering financial assistance that Moldova has been requesting. Sandu said her country has been facing hardships in energy and other areas and thanked Japan for its support.
