A Ukrainian delegation will reportedly visit the United States to discuss a peace plan with US President Donald Trump&#039;s special envoy Steve Witkoff and others.
US media outlet Bloomberg on Friday quoted sources as saying a Ukrainian delegation will soon head to the United States to discuss the peace plan.
The delegates including secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and First Deputy Foreign Minister Sergiy Kyslytsya, will meet Witkoff and Trump&#039;s son-in-law Jared Kushner in southern Florida.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday Umerov and other government officials will represent Ukraine in the peace talks going forward after he announced the dismissal of his presidential office head Andriy Yermak amid a corruption investigation.
Witkoff is expected to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow next week.
Attention is on how far the discussions will progress following Yermak&#039;s dismissal. An adverse impact on the Zelenskyy administration is widely seen as inevitable.
