Man arrested after 3 people found dead in Saitama Prefecture NHK

A man has been arrested after three people were found dead at a house in the city of Hanno in Saitama Prefecture near Tokyo.

Police arrested Saito Jun, a resident in the neighborhood, on Sunday night. They suspect that the 40-year-old man attacked the victims after intruding into the house. He allegedly chased them out of the residence and struck them.

On Monday, the police identified the victims as a couple who lived in the house, William Bishop Jr, a 69-year-old American citizen, his 68-year-old wife, Morita Izumi, and their 32-year-old daughter, Morita Sophianna Megumi, who lived in Tokyo. The spelling of Sophianna is not confirmed.
The investigators said the bodies of the couple were found in the yard on Sunday morning, while their daughter's body was found near the entrance.

The police said the suspect has refused to testify.
