US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said South Africa's ambassador to the United States is "no longer welcome" in the country, calling the envoy a "race-baiting politician." Rubio made the remark in a social media post on Friday, indicating he is seeking to expel Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool. He also said the ambassador "hates" America and President Donald Trump. The top US diplomat went on to say, "We have nothing to discuss with him and so he is considered PERSONA NON GRATA." Rubio skipped a Group of 20 foreign ministers meeting chaired by South Africa in February. Trump has issued an executive order halting aid to South Africa, accusing the country of adopting a discriminatory policy against white people.
