India has successfully tested a nuclear-capable long range ballistic missile, amid increasing tensions with China in the border area between the two countries. The Agni-V was tested on Thursday from the eastern coastal state of Odisha. The missile is capable of highly accurate strikes on targets over 5,000 kilometers away, meaning most of China and parts of Europe are within its range. The latest launch was the first since October last year. Experts say the move was intended to send a signal to China, India's northern neighbor. The two countries have been at stand-off near their disputed border. Last week, Indian and Chinese troops clashed in the area, and the Indian military said soldiers from both sides suffered injuries.
