Putin emphasizes Russia's military strength at Navy Day event NHK

Russian President Vladimir Putin has emphasized his country's military strength at an event marking the Navy Day.

Putin delivered a speech at the ceremony in St. Petersburg, Russia's second-largest city, on Sunday.

Putin said Russia is consistently building up the strength of its navy, and will add 30 warships to its fleet this year.

Meanwhile, Russia's defense ministry is accusing Ukraine of launching an attack in Moscow after two drones crashed into a business complex in the capital on Sunday.

The ministry said electronic jamming by Russia rendered the drones uncontrollable.

It said the unmanned aircraft then fell into the complex known as Moscow City, damaging a building.

The site is about five kilometers west of the Kremlin. Russian media said the complex houses the offices of three government agencies.

Russia's defense ministry said another drone spotted near the capital was destroyed.

Russia's state-run Tass news agency has quoted a Kremlin spokesperson as saying Putin has already been informed of the drone attack.
