Officials at Japanese cryptocurrency exchange DMM Bitcoin have reported a leak of Bitcoin totaling 48 billion yen, or more than 300 million dollars.
They say the problem was detected at around 1:30 p.m. on Friday.
The officials say they are investigating, and have suspended some services including transaction outputs and the verification process for opening new accounts.
They also say the leaked Bitcoin will be guaranteed in full.
The Financial Services Agency has ordered the firm to submit a report on the cause of the incident.
